Our Process

Step 1 The Phone Call

Give us a call. We would love to discuss your project and vision for what you’re trying to create. We are happy to simply answer questions or schedule a time to come out and look at the project with you.

Step 2 The Introduction

The first thing we like to do when we come out and meet in person is give you a little background on the company and who we are. This gives us the chance to tell you a bit about how we do business and why we’re different.

Step 3 The Project Tour

Lets take a look at the floors! The next step is reviewing and measuring all the spaces. We will take accurate measurements (no estimates and no rounding). Together we’ll look at the floors, and make a plan for any damaged areas. We may not be able to fix everything, but we do strive to set the right expectations if we can’t. Lastly, we’ll look at the electrical outlets and panel box. This is a crucial step and one that is often overlooked. We will inspect everything to make sure its safe and that we’ll be good to go on our first day.

Step 4 The Products

Refinishing: There are a lot of great products out there, but unfortunately there are also a lot of not great products out there. This is the opportunity for us to work with you to figure out the best options for your project. We will always tell you exactly what we are using on every single job. If you have the time (and a little easier if we know in advance) we can even make samples on your floor during the appointment. This way you can see how everything looks on your wood and with your lighting. If we don’t do this during the appointment, we can always do it at the beginning of the project.

Installation: For installation projects we try to get as much information as we can before the appointment so that we can bring you the right options for the appointment. We carry a huge selection of products and believe selection and customization is key. Take a look at our gallery of pictures and see if something stands out. Step 5 The Q&A

At this point, please ask us anything you may still be wondering, anything we haven’t yet answered, or really anything at all. We want the entire process to be as stress-free as possible, so dont let us leave if there is something you’re still unsure about. Out goal isn’t just to make beautiful floors, but to have customers that fall in love with their beautiful new floors.

Step 6 The Proposal

If we haven’t already given you a proposal in the appointment it is our goal to have it to you by the end of the day. If we don’t think we can do that for any reason, we will let you know.

Step 7  The Scheduling

It depends a bit on the time of the year, but our schedule is usually booked out about 2 weeks. If you need something sooner though, we will do everything we can to work with you to make it happen. Once we have a deposit you will be officially locked on the calendar and we look forward to working with you on the project!

Step 8  The Work: Installation or Refinishing

This is where the magic happens, this is our secret formula, our special sauce. In all seriousness though, we try to be as transparent as possible throughout the entire process. We will do our best to communicate as much or as little information as you’d like. Let us know!
